HEAVY rain has marred the final day of Formula One testing at the Montmelo circuit near Barcelona, which will host the fourth grand prix of the season on April 27.

The times recorded by world champion Kimi Raikkonen in his Ferrari, Heikki Kovalainen in a McLaren-Mercedes, Robert Kubica in a BMW Sauber and Nelson Piquet Jr in a Renault were at least three seconds slower than those of the opening three days.

Only Mark Webber in a Red Bull put in a respectable time, clocking 1min 21.953sec in the morning before rain began lashing the track.
